There are many varieties of club designes. They all have thier good points and bad points. This club was designed by Gene LeBell many years ago. In an effort to add to his arsenal, Gene began using a club to grapple with and liked the results he got. The club is being used today by more and more police groups who have attended LeBell's seminars. They have found it is more effective to use a club to restrain a suspect rather than strike them with it. The reason for this design was that in the traditional club the closed hands could slide off one end of the club or the other. The knobs on each end help to stop your gripped hands from sliding off the club. You not only use it as a deterrant against a suspect's striking arms, legs and other objects, but as a 24-inch extension of your arm to aid you inall offensive and defensive tehniques. When grappling with a club it will make you taller, and your arms longer. For example, if you can't reach your arms around a heavy person and lock your hands together, using a club will make it easier by giving you an arm extension. "Toughest Club in Town"
